Go fish! The weather is looking great for this weekend. Air temperatures should be in the sixties here in central PA and the fishing has been improving steadily.
John at John’s Bait & Tackle, Bellefonte PA reports that fishing is great in Spring Creek and should continue to improve over the weekend. Fly fisherman are still catching fish on midges this week. Bait fisherman are catching nice trout on “black head” worms.
The action at Foster Joseph Sayers Dam, Bald Eagle State Park is also picking up. Crappie and perch are being caught in the spillway of the dam and in the main lake. The lake is still at low pool but there is access to the water at the winter launch site. Fish are being caught on live minnows and night crawlers.
