Kettle Creek and Bush Dam smallmouth bass
Saturday, July 29th, 2006Today we caught good numbers of fish. The size wasn’t anything to write home about but in true form, these smallmouth where ready to do battle! The two largest fish were 13 inches and the rest were around 12 inches. My fishing buddy and I boated 18 smallmouth bass and one largemouth in about 4 hours of fishing. The highlight of the trip was having an adult bald eagle glide over our heads and perch in a nearby tree. The eagles appearance caused quite a stir in the local duck population. I’ve never seen ducks so nervous in all my life. The little guys seemed to have trouble deciding weather they wanted to fly away or just lay low. The bald eagle kept us company for quite a while before deciding to move on. I think we were in his fishing spot. (more…)
