I started the day with high expectations. We made the early morning drive to Kettle Creek, Pennsylvania in search of some good smallmouth bass fishing. The sky’s were overcast which was another reason for my optimism. Once we hit the water my optimism quickly dropped off. It took us a while to get our first bites. The fisher very finicky. Bites where very light and we missed far more fish than the three we eventually landed. All the fish were between 10 and 13 inches. We also captured a quick video clip of the action just for fun. Check the video out and the rest of my report.
Weather Conditions
Overcast with some light rain
Water Conditions
Very low for this time of year. Water was very clear
Pattern
No real pattern was established. We just covered a lot of water while wading making as many casts to fishy looking areas as we could.
Baits
Imitation crawfish and Yum Dingers drew the most hits.
