The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has announced the 2007 fish for fee days. This is a great opportunity for you to get someone interested in this great sport of fishing. My best fishing partner started under similar circumstances in his mid 20’s. All it took was a couple of nice smallmouth bass and he was hooked for life on fishing! The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is launching a large-scale angler survey effort that will explore fishing use and anglers’ experiences on 130 miles of the Susquehanna and Juniata rivers.
The survey is designed to measure catch, harvest, economic expenditures and angler opinions associated with fishing on sections of the two rivers for the period April through October. The Susquehanna River survey reach will extend from Sunbury to the Holtwood Dam near the Maryland border. The survey reach on the Juniata River will extend from Port Royal to the mouth near Duncannon.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is considering changes to the current list of approved wild trout waters. There are several proposals to be discussed which include taking streams off the list, adding some streams to the list, and making amendments to some of the streams currently on the list. Most importantly they are inviting anyone who has comments to submit them in writing or via the web.

Court Decision Confirms Public Ownership of Historic Resource

HARRISBURG — The state agencies responsible for the stewardship of Pennsylvania’s natural resources today praised a court decision guaranteeing the rights of citizens to have access to the Little Juniata River in Huntingdon County for fishing, boating and other recreation.
